Rising at 09.00 to a sunny day. Hooray!

The call has just come in: the second HD data recovery expert has been unable to recover data from the HD, but he is optimistic. Next step: off to the top-line characters.

An e-mail from Mr. Stormy: the shop of Butcher Fry is closing today. This is the end of several decades of family operation. Mr. Fry is a living source of Broad Chalke life, history and its characters over the second half of the 20th. century. May the history of the parish continue to speak through his lips.

A call to David at DGM HQ, off to Japan on Sunday for Vicar excitements.

Here a local pal, a trader on the High Street, is calling for a Happy Hour at 17.45.

21.14    A happy three-hour, and a walk down the garden. A most enjoyable evening of the local kind in this, the friendliest place I have ever lived.
